Skies and Clouds

I wandered lonely as a cloud………

Skies and clouds have long inspired artists and poets.  The landscape painter John Constable was so taken with the sky he spent the early 1820s only painting studies of clouds. The sky changes from one moment to the next, making it a challenging subject to capture.

The Cloud Appreciations Society will attest to the wide enthusiasm for clouds and skies.  As well being a resource for identifiying types of clouds, many members have included their own cloud artworks and photographs of clouds that look like other things.
